Three times the enclosure concepts per client review

A small design studio lets solidSF's native AI agents run the parametric busywork - variants, fastener bosses, drawing packs - while the designers keep the feature tree.

Challenge

Client reviews reward breadth, but every additional enclosure direction used to cost a day of modeling and another half-day of drawings. The studio either showed fewer options or shipped later.

Solution

Designers block out the architecture - PCB envelope, battery, ports - then direct solidSF's native AI agents to generate enclosure variants as real feature-tree edits: split lines, wall thickness studies, boss and rib patterns, fastener stacks.

Because agent output is parametric geometry rather than meshes, the chosen direction continues straight into DFM detailing, and the drawing pack is generated and dimensioned from the same document.

“The agents work on the real feature tree, so nothing is a throwaway render. The variant the client picks is already a parametric model we ship from.”

Results

Reviews now open with three times the concepts, each one already a buildable model. Drawing packs that took days of drafting come together in hours.

The studio quotes fixed-fee projects more aggressively because the variant-exploration cost stopped scaling with headcount.
